Children's Novelty Lighting, What A Novel Idea!

Getting creative when decorating your first child's nursery or bedroom can be a lot of fun for any parent. Choosing between a jungle safari, marine life or even a fairy tale motif are just one of the few decisions you get to make to turn your child's nursery into a fun, light-hearted world. But after you've had your final say on color choices, themes and children's furniture, you've still got to square away the lighting plans.

Why not match your child's nursery with some lighting that will fit in with the theme of their room? Simply put, not only will it be cute as heck, but it'll also add to the ambience. And of course if the ambience is just right, your child will be comfortable enough to drift off into dreamland. What's even better is that there are plenty of themed novelty lights that your children will absolutely adore.

Take for example the Alley Oop Pendant found on Eco-Lights.com. Most dads will probably like to have a fun little ceiling light like this for their son's nursery, and who knows, maybe all it takes to inspire your son in going toward a professional basketball career is this little pendant light. Another fun little pendant light that's great for the boys is the Propeller Chandelier, which can also be found on the same website. What better way to jet your child away to dreamland than with this cute little pendant. And, it's perfect over your child's crib or toddler bed.

Girls also have their share of cute novelty lights for their rooms. Popular ones like the Moon Man Pendant, Marine Flush Mount Fixture and the FunGlow Ballerina Lamp will surely leave a lasting impression on your little girl as she drifts off to sleep. Just as the Alley Oop Pendant may inspire your son to become an NBA player, these lamps may encourage your daughter to explore the far reaches of space, become a marine biologist, or perhaps become the country's leading and most sought after professional dancer.

Once you've decided what kind of novelty lighting to put in your nursery, everything else that comes after should be a snap (after the childbirth that is). Think of it this way, as long as the lights are soothing enough get your kids comfortable enough to fall asleep, isn't that all that matters?
